As I look out to the backyard ....

a branch of the rose of sharon hangs across the window blowing in the wind.  One shorter branch I see six buds that should be opened but are not.  I wonder if it because of the hot temps.  I watered the plants outside of the garden and herb station for 2 hours today.  That really bit into my house cleaning chores!!  lol

Well I know you don't know this but I couldn't work in my studio yesterday, because of the heat!  When the sun hits the back of the house, our air conditioner can't do the job and papers start stickin' and there is some sweat happening and my diabetes kicks in with some aggravation and attitude and and and I just give in.  I go get something cold to drink as I sit in front of the fan which is (suppose to) blowing the cold air throughout!!! So I am back this morning before the heat wave hits!  It's suppose to be at least 101 without the humidity factored in the equation!

Again I had to stop and wait for the weather.  I now am resizing my photos so they will fit in the space provided. So now that the night is in the high 70's I can now post new pictures and they will be available to order tomorrow afternoon.

These two cards that follow are from the inspiration of Dawn5377 on YouTube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbOzaZ-1QEs&feature=em-uploademail

Well I'm off to bed now, and these will go in the store http://joshouseofcards.com/ first thing in the AM.

Please take just a moment to think of someone you love and miss today.

Well .... it's just another beautiful Wednesday!

Well the trash got out bright and early this morning and I am wondering if on the Holiday week after if the garbage is going to pick up on their regular day.Ahh ..... if that was my only worry! Right?

Well I have been vegan for about 3 weeks now and I really don't feel any different yet. I am still swollen, especially in my tummy area. Although now that I think about it the swelling in my legs have gone done quite a bit. Maybe it's just moving! lol Has anyone (other than a salesperson) used that Nopalea? Well I took a moment to "google" this and here is what I found. Nopalea - true or scam?

I made a couple of cards last night Here's a peek!

So I have run across an amazing amount of challenges this morning already!   I have already posted this post earlier, however I posted it to an old blog and had a devil of a time trying to figure it out!  I tried several different things thinking Oh this has GOT to be it!  But no, that didn't fix it.  I then realized I had signed into an old account!  How lame that it took me a couple of hours to get that!  Geez!   And that was with a few breaks to "just walk away" to grab prospective! LMBO!  In those breaks, I went to grab the camera to get a shot at the beautiful male cardinal and the battery needed charged! so I went to do that but not before I had to locate the charger!  We had went somewhere and I had taken the charger but couldn't remember where I put it.  And I do usually put it where it belongs, but didn't the last time!  You see, I usually leave my computer and last night I shut it down.  And wouldn't you know it (TODAY) is day that google changed the format of Blogger!  What a ride I have had so far today!!!  Here comes the sun so I will take that as a sign that all is well! lol

Please enjoy this beautiful day (no matter what!) and smile! someone may need it today! : )

Good Morning!

I can't believe it's Tuesday already!  Monday was just a blur that flew by!  I went to the primary doc yesterday, he moved meds around again!  This has been going on since last November!  My meds have been changed about a dozen times trying to find the right combo!!  My blood pressure has been so outta wack, I can't even tell you.  It's been running so low and then when I go see the heart doc it's up a little so I get smacked with another adjustment!  It seems never ending, but I know it will!!

I am getting ready to celebrate our 29th anniversary!  We are going to Grand Rapids to see Nickleback, Bush, and a couple of bands and then staying at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel for the night and then come home, drop off the hubby, and head to a weekend scrap booking crop!!!  I can't wait, it will be my first one and I am going with new friends and I plan on having some real bonding time!!

Here is a birthday card I made for our Uncle!  Enjoy your day!!

It's Friday!!! And Good Friday to boot!!

Yesterday, I picked up my hubby from work and when we got home he went to get the mail as usual.  In today's mail was a HANDMADE card for ME!!! It was a beautiful belated birthday card from my sweet cousin who lives in Florida.  What a wonderful surprise and what an awesome job she did!  I am usually the one who sends the handmade cards so what a treat to receive  one!`It brightened my day for sure!

Isn't it lovely? I think she did a wonderful job! I was just so pleased! Thank you so much, Gail!

This IS Friday, so over at MyScrapChick.com their Friday Freebie is posted along with a 60% off every $10.00 sale!!! These are paper piecing patterns. Ya can't beat that!  You can come close at KristiDailey.com where they are having a 50% off every $10.00 sale!! These are digi stamps and graphics.  So check these out and get creative!!

I woke up with a 101 reading this morning!!!!  Yay!!  I have NOT gotten on the scale yet today, and probably won't! : )  I did have my oatmeal and my cinnamon coffee!  Now I am on my way to Wii for an hour then I will make a couple of cards and do some organizing in my studio, (it could sure use it!)  After I pick my hubby up from work we will go and get some dowels to make a nifty ribbon storage system I found on the web! This may also solve your ribbon storage need!! Check this out ...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuDdhUeyOAs&NR=1&feature=fvwp ... it couldn't be easier, could it?

Oh and before I forget, here is a slow cooker steel cut oatmeal recipe!
8 c of boiling water
2 c of steel cut oats
1/3 c of dried fruit
1/3 c of dried cranberry
and a pinch of salt
turn the slow cooker to slow and cook 7-8 hours ------- She said she cuts it in half or puts in individual pkg to uses the next couple of days!

I have made this once so far and I think I will add about and extra 1/4 c. of water.  I also used dried mango and dried apricots.  When warming this up the following days, I added craisins to my bowl.  It made it extra yummy!!

Enjoy your day!

Early Saturday morning....

as I was finishing up some cards and making some adjustments, Yahoo reminded me of a birthday that I had forgotten.  I so hate when that happens!  So I quickly made a couple of changes and voila, made a birthday card for a male!  Then while I was on that track, I made another male birthday card for my nephew.  They are not that hard to make....I say now that I have finished!  Anywho here is one:

Here is the second one:
